Elephant Island
Buenavista, Marinduque

We took almost an hour traversing a rough and dusty road to lipata, a barangay in Buenavista facing Banton. It is my 2nd time in Marinduque before I took my study there. Kuya dennis, my cousin's boyfriend invited us to take some stroll in elephant island which is just opposite their house, approximately 3 minutes using a motored banca.
Abandoned by the owners, the place was once an island resort owned by Japanese (rumored as yakuzas). The cottages are still there complete as is. We explored the whole island. The pools, playgrounds and the main building. It's really a loss for the owners for this resort be set to fire (vigilantes or accidentally). Millions of pesos were gone into a fiery scene. The surfboards are still there with the jet skis stocked in the main cottage located along the white beach.
Swimming all day, and we got the "ouch" of sunburns, which, maybe is the reason why this trip is unforgettable.lol!
